Europa League Travel

The Supporters’ Club will not be providing travel to any of Albion’s group stage matches in the Europa League.

While we have a proud record of operating coaches to matches within England (and Wales), destinations such as Marseille, Amsterdam and Athens in this extraordinary season are beyond us.

Tim Carder, acting travel organiser, explained:

“We have more than 25 years of experience taking coaches the length and breadth of the country, but organising flights, hotels, etc, is the realm of package holiday companies, not volunteers with limited time to spare.

Even the nearest venue, Ajax of Amsterdam, is problematic. “It might be possible to operate a coach on a day trip,” added Tim. “However, the logistics of crossing the Channel add another layer of complication to a very long journey.

“Besides, Amsterdam is surely worth more than a cursory visit!”

With any alternative involving the booking of hotels as well, it’s best left to the professionals. We therefore advise looking for packages if you wish to travel or booking independently. Seagull Travel, Albion’s official travel partner, may be able to assist.

Tim concluded:

“The decision is made with some regret, but you never know, we may yet meet Liverpool or West Ham in latter stages – and we would certainly run a coach to those destinations.”
