Tim Carder

A supporter of the Albion since 1965, Tim became fascinated by the club’s history at an early age, but it wasn’t until 1993 that he was able to publish a definitive book on the subject with his late friend Roger Harris. This was followed four years later by a book on the players and managers.

In 1995, when the crisis due to the sale of the Goldstone Ground began, he joined the Supporters’ Club committee, and chaired the organisation for ten years from 1998, becoming a prominent figure in the fans’ campaigns to get the club back to Withdean and then to the new stadium at Falmer.

In 1998, with Albion exiled in Kent, he founded what is now the Brighton & Hove Albion Heritage Society, a members’ organisation that looks to preserve and promote the club’s heritage. Tim subsequently arranged numerous events, helped mastermind the Albion Museum, and was appointed Club Historian in 2013.

Having worked as an electronics design engineer and in IT for a printing company, he volunteered to take on the role of organising the Supporters’ Club coaches following the resumption of “proper” football in 2021.
